Declaration on accessibility
HÜPPE GmbH endeavours to make its website at www.hueppe.com accessible. The legal basis for this is the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG) in conjunction with the Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung (BITV 2.0.) and the EU Directive (EU) 2016/2102. This declaration on accessibility applies to the content published at www.hueppe.com insofar as it falls under the requirements of the BFSG.
Status of compliance with the legal requirements
Our goal is to ensure an accessible website that provides an equal user experience for all people, regardless of their abilities or limitations. The implementation of accessible content is an ongoing process. We are actively working on creating and further improving the accessibility of our website and gradually removing existing barriers. The website is currently partially compliant with the requirements of BITV 2.0 in conjunction with EU Directive 2016/2102.
Measures taken to improve accessibility
Below you will find a list of measures already implemented or being implemented to achieve an accessible website.
1. navigation via keyboard
The basic functions of the website are accessible via tab key and can be operated via the keyboard.
2. videos with audio contain a subtitle
Videos that contain information via audio have been provided with a subtitle.
3. alternative texts for images / ARIA labels
Some images are already provided with an alternative text. Missing alt texts and ARIA labels are currently being added.
4. structuring the content with headings
The pages are largely structured. On some subpages, headings are still displayed in an incorrect order. This is currently being revised.
In many places we have already paid attention to the design of the elements with good contrast. Some elements do not yet have sufficient contrast. These will be revised soon.
6. highlighting of links
Further links or links that lead to a PDF download are already predominantly highlighted using an arrow symbol. The appearance of other links will be gradually adapted so that they are clearly recognisable and highlighted in the focus state.
Non-accessible content
The content and functions listed below have already been identified and documented and are being processed step by step:
1. clear labelling for control elements
Some control elements are not yet clearly labelled with an alt-tag. All control elements are currently being checked and equipped with clear labelling including an existing alt-tag.
2. structured HTML code to support screen readers
The website is being checked for compatibility with common screen readers and optimised with regard to focus control, ARIA labels and semantic HTML elements.
3. deactivation of flashing or moving elements
Animated content is reduced to a minimum. A user-side deactivation option is partially available and will be further expanded.
4. enlargement of screen content up to 200%
The website is responsive and already supports a scalable display. Scaling up to 200% without loss of information is planned.
5. customisable font size and type
It is possible to adjust the font size on the browser side. Further user-friendly controls within the website are being planned.
6. forms
Some form fields do not yet have a correctly assigned label. This optimisation is being planned.
7. PDF and Word documents
The numerous PDF and Word documents are currently not accessible.
Preparation of this declaration on accessibility
