Data protection notice

HÜPPE GmbH takes the protection of personal data very seriously. In addition to complying with all legal data protection requirements, this section of the website clearly sets out how we store and use your personal information. It is important to us that you feel safe and comfortable when visiting our website.

The following information on data privacy lets you know when we save which data and how we use it - in a way, of course, which does not conflict with jurisdiction in force. Data privacy in our company is based at the level of European data privacy and, in particular, on the current German Data Protection Law (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG). To protect your personal data in matters of Internet usage, we also orientate ourselves to the Tele-Media Law (Telemediengesetz, TMG) of the Federal Republic of Germany. Not only does our company endeavour to meet the statutory data privacy regulations; we also attempt to make allowance for the recommendations of acknowledged voluntary self-control committees concerned with data privacy.

1. Use of our website

As a rule, our website can be used without any personal data being submitted. The collection of personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) on our web pages is always done, as far as possible, on a voluntary basis. These data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent, with the exception of service providers commissioned by HÜPPE to process services requested by you (e. g. ordering in the online shop, sending the newsletter).

We wish to point out that Internet data transmission (e.g. through e-mails) is not always a completely secure operation. It is simply not possible to thoroughly protect data from being accessed by third parties. The use of contact data published under the legal notice obligation by third parties for transmitting non-expressly required publicity and information material is herewith expressly refuted. The operators of the sites expressly reserve the right to initiate legal steps in the event of non-solicited publicity information being sent out, for instance, in spam mails.

2. Use of cookies

We use cookie technologies without your prior consent only to enable use of our website offerings. Cookies are text files which contain information inter alia for identifying visitors who repeatedly use our websites. They are stored on your end device and retrieved by us from there. We do not collect or store any further personal data without your express prior consent. In addition, we only collect and store information about the options you have chosen, the frequency and duration of your visit to the site, etc. You can adjust your browser settings at any time if you do not wish to receive cookies or delete the data stored on your end device. If we wish to use cookies for the optimisation of our offers and advertising, we will request your prior consent.

3. Collection and use of personal information

If you are asked to provide personal details via our website, such as your name, address or telephone number, this will be subject to the strict limits of legal authority. Your details will not be passed to third parties. An exception to this is formed by service providers who carry out work under contract to HÜPPE GmbH companies affiliated with HÜPPE GmbH pursuant to Sections 15 ff. German Stock Corporation Act (AktG).

In addition to the information that you provide us with, we also use information such as how you use the website to direct you as quickly as possible to information that could be of interest to you, as well as to continually improve our offering.

3.1 Contact via e-mail or contact form

On our website we offer you the opportunity to contact us via e-mail and a contact form. In this case, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing a contact. The data will not be passed on to third parties. A comparison of the data collected in this way with data that may be collected by other components of our site does not take place either.

3.2 Registration function for professional area

We offer you the opportunity to register for the professional area on our website. The data entered in the course of this registration, which can be seen from the input mask of the registration form, will be collected and stored exclusively for the use of our offer. When you register on our site, we will also store your IP address and the date and time of your registration. This serves as a safeguard for us in the event that a third party misuses your data to register on our site without your knowledge.  The data will not be passed on to third parties. A comparison of the data collected in this way with data that may be collected by other components of our site does not take place either.

3.3 Registration for the online shop and purchasing

We offer you the possibility of registering for our webshop and buying products in it. In this case, the data provided by you will be used for the execution of an order transaction (including warranties and returns), for our services, technical administration and to ensure the continuity of the correspondence between you and us. In principle, your data can be passed on to several companies that are required for the processing of the purchase contract and that have been commissioned by HÜPPE GmbH for this purpose. In particular, this is done for the purpose of delivering the goods, processing payment transactions via payment services and collecting receivables via a debt collection agency.

Personal data that you provide to us for processing orders can be stored for commercial and tax law reasons for up to 10 years.

3.4 Use of the forwarding function by e-mail

Within the product configurator you can send your configured product to yourself via e-mail. However, this function also allows you to mail the configured product to a third party (e. g. the retailer of your choice). For this function we collect the name and e-mail address of the sender and the recipient. This data is used exclusively for sending the e-mail and is not stored by us.

By using this function, you agree that you will only use it for communication purposes in individual cases that are related to the content published by HÜPPE and do not contain any advertising content.

We do not tolerate harassment by sending unsolicited promotional e-mails (spam) or mass mailing via this feature.

3.5 External service providers

In the collection and use of personal data, we are sometimes supported by selected service providers who act in strict compliance with our instructions in accordance with your order and who we check prior to commencing their service activities and regularly thereafter.

3.6 Use for advertising purposes

Your personal data will only be used for advertising purposes without your express consent within the strict limits of legal authority. Without your express consent, we will not address you for advertising purposes by e-mail or telephone. Due to and within the scope of legal authority, we process and use the following personal data provided by you voluntarily to the extent necessary for the purpose of advertising your own offers: Group membership (e. g. your status as a HÜPPE customer or prospective customer), name, title, academic degree, job, industry or business name, address (but not telephone or e-mail contact data) and year of birth. Insofar as we transmit the above-mentioned data to affiliated Group companies for advertising purposes, they are legally obliged to inform you that they have received the data from us (note in the advertising material or similar).

You can revoke your consent to the use of your personal data for advertising purposes at any time.

4. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies" i.e. text files saved on your computer which allow your use of the website to be analysed. Information on your use of the website generated by the cookie is sent, as a rule, to a Google server in the USA, where it is stored.

4.1 IP anonymisation

We would like to point out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the code "gat. _anonymizeIp ();" in order to guarantee anonymous capturing of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). If anonymisation is active, Google shortens IP addresses within Member States of the European Union or in other signatory states to the European Economic Area agreement, so that no conclusions can be drawn as to your identity.

Only in exceptional circumstances is the complete IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google uses this information to analyse your use of the website in order to compile reports about website activities and to furnish additional services associated with website and Internet usage for the website operator.

4.2 Collection of demographic information
This website uses the "demographics" feature in Google Analytics. This allows reports to be created that contain information about the age, gender and interests of the visitors to the site. This data comes from Google's interest-based advertising and visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can disable this feature at any time using the Ads Settings in your Google Account, or disallow the collection of your information by Google Analytics as shown in the next section.

4.3. Browser plug-in

You can disable cookies by applying the appropriate settings in your browser; we should point out that disabling cookies might prevent you from using the full functionality of the site. Moreover, you can stop the data generated by the cookie and related to your site use (incl. your IP address) being sent to Google and the editing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link:

5. Technical access data

When you access the HÜPPE GmbH website, information (so-called server log files) of a general nature is automatically collected. This information includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider, the date and time of your access and similar information. This information is exclusively information that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you personally. In addition, this data is also generated when accessing any other website on the Internet. This is therefore not a function specific to the HÜPPE website. Information of this kind is only collected anonymously and is evaluated for statistical purposes.

6. Use of social media components

6.1 Use of Facebook components

Our website uses features integrated into the social network Facebook, provided by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. You can recognize the Facebook plug-ins by the Facebook logo or the "Like" button on our site. An overview of the Facebook plug-ins can be found here:

When you access our pages with Facebook plug-ins, a connection is established between your browser and the servers of Facebook. Data is already transferred to Facebook during this process. Among other things, Facebook receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. This allows Facebook to associate visiting our pages with your user account. Interactions, in particular the use of a comment function or clicking on a "Like" or "Share" button, are also passed on to Facebook. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of these pages, do not receive any knowledge of the content of the transmitted data and their use by Facebook. For more information, see the Facebook Privacy Policy at

If you do not want Facebook to associate visiting our website with your Facebook account, please log out of your Facebook account. Facebook's privacy notices provide more detailed information about this, in particular about the collection and use of data by Facebook, your rights in this respect, and the privacy settings:

6.2 Use of Twitter components

Functions of the Twitter service are integrated on our website. These features are offered by Twitter Inc., 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. By using Twitter and the "Re-Tweet" function, the websites you visit will be linked to your Twitter account and made known to other users. Data is already transferred to Twitter during this process. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of these pages, do not receive any knowledge of the content of the transmitted data and their use by Twitter. For more information, see the Twitter Privacy Policy at

You can change your Twitter privacy settings in your account settings at:

6.3 Use of YouTube components

Our website uses plug-ins from the YouTube site operated by Google. The operator of the site is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our sites equipped with a YouTube plug-in, you will be connected to YouTube servers. The YouTube server will be informed which of our pages you have visited.

If you are logged in to your YouTube account, you will enable YouTube to associate your browsing behaviour directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

For more information on the handling of user data, please see YouTube's Privacy Policy at:

7. Information, correction, disabling and deletion of data

In keeping with § 34 and § 6b BDSG you have the unreserved right to obtain information - incurred at no extra cost - on your data that we have saved and, in keeping with § 35 BDSG, the right to have inadmissible data deleted or disabled and/or the right to have incorrect data corrected. Unless something else is determined in this data privacy information, we will delete your personal data 3 months at the latest after the purpose behind saving it has ceased to apply, to the extent that we are not statutorily committed to a longer period of data storage. Please note that we have no influence on the storage time of your data at Google. Upon request, we will be happy to inform you in writing whether and which personal data we have stored about you. If possible, we will adopt suitable steps to update or correct the data we have saved on you at short notice. In such instances, please contact our data privacy officer straight away at

8. Security

HÜPPE GmbH deploys technical and organisational security measures to protect the information you send to us from accidental or intentional change, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. Our security measures are constantly being improved and updated in line with the latest developments in this area.
